Nue Quest 3rd Impact: A Z-Machine Adventure

>It takes you a little bit to properly get your bearings after lifting off from the middle of the bamboo, but you're able to divine the general direction you're supposed to be going quickly and soon find your way.
>The plains are quiet and well lit by the full moon. Passing by Maribel and Renko's home, you note that lights are still on. Drawing close to the human village, you notice there is no longer any music, and the central part of the village has cleared out. A few scattered places still have a light glowing near the windows, but overall it seems the village is asleep.

>She ponders for a moment, as she starts to walk down the road. "I...might have, back when the gems first appeared and chaos was starting to break out. I do seem to recall someone with rabbit ears in the crowd."

>"It was just a passing glance," says Bykauren. "I was too concerned about calming people as a whole to really pay attention to particular individuals. She didn't stay for too long, I don't think, I don't seem to remember seeing rabbit ears much by the time I had managed to get the crowd to settle down."

Hm, I know Minoriko has been working in some respect, due to the growing season. But I don't think anything unusual would have happened in regards to that."

>"Well, sometimes we talk about the research we've been doing," says Byakuren. "Well, they've been doing, I suppose, and arrange to help each other. It doesn't amount to much. Alice and Eirin are both very secretive about their work, I haven't engaged in actual research in years, Patchouli only shares what she's doing about half the time, and so on. If there's a significant event, we may discuss it. Other times, we tend to arrange for swaps for things we need, or argue over what the circle should be named. Then it tends to break down into mahjong and drinking until everyone retires."

>"Well," she says. "They're...inexperienced. It is a little difficult to talk about many concepts without having to break it down for them. But they're eager to learn and to help out. Sometimes Renko finds interesting little things, as well."
