I'm back. My Secret Santa freaking nailed it this year. I love card games of all kinds and a Touhou card game is like chocolate + peanut butter, it's just better. I am definitely putting these cards in card sleeves, the art is too good to get scratched up.  The card that it came with was cute as well.

I also love this cat hat. I have a similar hat with a razorback nose and tusks that I wear all the time (Woo pig sooie) so I'll get plenty of use out of this one as Fayetteville is mighty chilly this time of year. My dog was all too willing to model the hat for a picture. Thanks again!

All right, I'm home and I've uploaded/resized the pictures! Here goes.

I got the parcel to my mum's house without issue, and when THE TIME CAME, my mum, sister, boyfriend and the cat surrounded the table as I approached the box with a fat pair of scissors.

What's that, the parcel is from France? Finally, my E in AS Level French will come in handy!

Woah, hidden inside was not one, not two, but three beautifully wrapped presents! There's ribbon and everything. I was pretty shocked, honestly. I'd been expecting maybe a bag of biscuits and a cheap and cheerful christmas card. Well, no point wasting time! Let's open the first one.

Actually what was inside was even better: chocolate wafer sticks that tasted beyond amazing. It's only been 2 days since Christmas and I've already eaten them all. Delicious.

This lovely towel has some stitching on it.  The ethanol was obvious, the other, after a minute of study, I guessed would be glucose. Specifically it's L-Glucose.

I feel I need to explain this one a bit.  After some pretty intense post stalking I got the idea to do a piece with "sugar + yeast => beer."  I couldn't figure out how to fit the yeast chemically on the pattern and look nice still so I had to nix it, and being as I'm all  when it comes to chemistry I had to ask for help on the formulas - my consultants said for my purposes that glucose form would be ok (I thought it was the most aesthetically pleasing of my options) so I hoped they were right haha.  Gave me a challenge trying to do something practical as per your request but still handmade but I hope I succeeded :V   

(ps that kitchen towel is 100% usable you can throw that shit in the washing machine the stitching is going nowhere (but if it does you can send it back and I'll fix it))
(pps anyone going to MAGFest I expect to see you at the missingNo's concert they are super cool dudes who play super cool tunes)

Right then! I got a box! It's from the UK, which is VERY specific, but the suspects I would've guessed are from different locations, so clearly I have to git gud at e-stalking before the results are posted.





It's actually a good thing you didn't pick up Bravely Default since I already have a copy. The only thing that could distract me from it was Pokemon Y, which was a nostalgia rush 18 years in the making, so it would've been spot on.



Psychology books! My shelves are lined with too many videogames and not enough actual information, so I should have more stuff like this.



Chocolate limes! Local treats are always great. It's a good thing too since the brain almost exclusively metabolizes glucose for energy. They're a bit addicting and are actually pretty sizable, so they last just long enough. Hurrah and many thanks, SS!
