>There really weren't such things back in your day; at least not in the form of major contests. The closest you can think of were festivals, where it was definitely not appropriate for an emperor to get involved personally. Generally, however, you had your own festivities in court to make up for that.

> "I will need to seek out my attendants at some point soon, so many places of interest will unfortunately have to wait another day. However, I do believe I would like to see your library first, before I must depart."

>"Easily done," says Sakuya, as she leads you from the room.
>Taking you back downstairs, Sakuya quietly retraces the path you've taken through the mansion, leading you past the gallery and back into the main hall. She then leads you through the two doors under the grand balcony. Past them, you find yourself faced with shelves upon shelves of books, reaching up into the sky. The air is incredibly dry, you can practically feel it suck the moisture out of you. A corridor is formed between the shelves, leading deeper into the library; you can see a collection of tables some yards past. More shelves like the actual walls, ringed by balconies and reaching up to the ceiling, some three stories overhead. Just glancing at a shelf, you can see it is lined with books, scrolls, and the like, arranged neatly in rows. To say it simply, this puts your own library at the height of your power to absolute shame. You suspect there may have not even been this many written materials in the world in your time!
>"Patchouli is likely in the center of the library," says Sakuya. "She can assist you better than I can."

> Head further inward.

>"Take as much time as you need," says Sakuya.
>You head further inward, toward the center of the library. After passing by numerous rows of shelves, you come a cleared area filled with tables and chairs. It is empty, save for a woman with purple hair wearing a purple gown sitting in a particularly overstuffed chair, reading a book, with several stacked around her. She looks as you enter, giving you an impassive look, then saying, "Who're you? How did you get in here?"
