>"Well, I happen to believe strongly in being honest, myself, so perhaps that is some thing we have in common?"
>Frown slightly
>"Though I have seen certain others of your kind appear quite content to withhold important information so as to deliberately create a false impression in their adversaries."

>"Others? What others?"

>"We had an altercation this morning with Fire and Ice."

>The blonde considers that. "That makes sense. They would have come through before Earth, and if Forest had come through, you would not be here to speak with Water."

>"Are you expecting each of the Champions to arrive in a specific order?"

>"Not expecting, as such. I'm not one for assumptions or expectations. But I do a little about the others, and I am not surprised to hear Earth and Forest would be the last two."
>"Have any idea which'd come through next?" Rin asks.
>"No. The two are similar to each other in more than one way. Neither wish to leave Mother, even for the greater good. They will, of course." she says as she pulls herself back upright. "Eventually they'll have no choice. I just don't know which one will arrive at that conclusion first."

>"I hear that your world is dying."

>The blonde human/demon lets out a slow breath. "That's why I said 'no choice'." she says after a moment. "All of the armored clothes in either world soon won't be enough." You see her eyes move beneath her closed eyelids. "Speaking of which, I must admit, I was sort of anticipating one of you to request I attend to that matter. You Terrans seem to be often uncomfortable in the presence of an unclad individual."

>"And you're not particularly hard on the eyes at the moment, either."
>"Though I must also admit that I had thought you might be about to do so on your own, earlier. Ultimately I do not mean to force our norms upon you, but merely find some common ground that we might share."

>"I have no preference one way or the other." she answers with a vague, very human-like shrug. "External armor is a necessity only when threatened, but if you request it, I have no reason to refuse, either."
>"Is that why you looked like you did the first time we met?" Lily asks suddenly, taking a step forward.
>"What do you mean?"
>"When we fought, you looked like a big snake with the wings of a bat. Now you look like someone nearly my age. Was that because that other form gave you more protection?"
>The human-shaped demon takes a moment before replying. "Well, since we are being honest. The opposite of that, in fact, is true here."

>Glance to the tiger statue. Does the power from it seem more... concentrated than that of Lily and ourselves that go into making up much of the rest of this space?

>"That is actually something I've been trying to get to the bottom of myself." she answers as she gathers her legs under her. "I seem to be unable to gain any more energy than I had before I was imprisoned, but I have not lost any energy either. No matter how much power I use, I do not seem to grow weaker."

>Whilst you can sense the power of yourself and Magical Lily all around you, that tiger seems to be entirely made up of Kiku's power. Her power is definitely concentrated there, while yours and Lily's are much more generalized.

>"...though, if it really is all the same to you, perhaps you might produce some clothing first?"

>"I'm not certain you could really understand. I mean that as no slight, Terran, it is merely a matter beyond anything this world has known."

>"Very well." she says with a nod, and stands up. "And I suppose I should mention, since clothing is something of a concession to your world, that I have a name on this side, as well."
>"On this side?" Lily asks, plainly confused.
>The blonde nods, as she extends her arms out slightly. "On my world, my kind have no need of names. A name is a limit, a definition. It is something one cannot be more than. And more, we are all Mother's children, and have no desire to exalt ourselves unduly in her eyes. So we have no names amongst ourselves. But here, when we visit this world, it seems that names come to us, when we assume your true forms."
>"How does that work?" Lily starts.
>"Actually, that sorta makes sense." Rin informs her. "I've read some fairy tales where the creature can only be named once it shows its true form, or naming it forces it to reveal its true shape. These demons might work kinda the same way."
>A shimmering pattern of light surrounds the blonde human/demon's body as Lily listens to Rin's theory. Once your kasha is done, Lily asks the blonde, "So, what is your name?"

>And the young blonde answers, as the light drops away to reveal her wearing a plain white dress with a purple neckerchief tied into a bow, matching purple belt, and a white bonnet with dark purple bow, "My name is Louise."

>"I really would like to understand, yes."

>Louise makes a thoughtful noise as she stares unblinking into the giant tiger's red eyes. "I will try, then, to put this in terms you will understand."
>"Why?" Rin demands suddenly.
>"Because otherwise you'll have no hope-"
>"That's not what I mean." the kasha interrupts. "None of the others of your kind really seemed to want to talk to us about your world. So why're you?"
>"Because I have nothing to lose. I can't see that it will change anything, but I lose nothing by speaking, nor do I feel I can say anything that will threaten my Sisters." She turns her head towards you slightly. "That at least is one thing you can understand, Terran, and should. Survival is paramount to us, to what we are. It is all we know, all we have known all our lives. We six Champions have another purpose, but Survival is still first in our cores. None of us will knowingly do anything that could lead to our deaths, and each of us have our own methods of ensuring our survival. You probably know this already, but the others aren't like me. I doubt you'd be having this conversation with any of the other five." After a brief pause, she adds, "Except maybe Forest. It wouldn't matter to her."
>"Why not?" Rin asks.
>"Because you couldn't defeat her anyway. Even with you, new blood, you're no match for Forest. A legion of you couldn't match her."
>White Rose's tails twitch. "We'll see about dat."

>"It is in the nature of all beings to seek survival; this is also true of us. But I do not think the survival of our two kinds need be mutually exclusive, nor would I wish an end to yours; given where we are at this moment, I hope you can see this. For all our differences, there are things we have in common, and I do truly wish to understand your kind and what has led you to come to our world."

>"This world, Terran, is our only chance at survival." the Water Champion answers. "That's we six were sent here. We're the spearhead, given the powers of the elements to bring the rest of our people out of the Dark Place." She grins a rather dry grin. "Now that I think about, I suppose, in Terran terms, that would make us... heroes."

>Where does she get off callin' herself a hero? Lily muses, sounding somewhat offended. Heroes HELP people, they save the day!
>I think that's what they're trying to do. Rin answers her.

>Lousie takes a moment before answering. "You Terrans have the belief that living things have souls, correct?"
