So do we want to head back to the human village and see how much we fucked up Biggun's crowd control (and also check to make sure that Shou actually got sent out), or do we want to head the way of the SDM and see how they've reacted?

That's not too bad. I do want to get over to the SDM at some point, but it seems this shouldn't take too long.

>You take to the air again and head toward the human village.
>The trip is a peaceful over the plains, the worst you see is the occasion herd animal glancing up in your direction. Drawing near the human town, you see there's still a fairly large crowd in the square. You quickly note that it's no longer paying attention to any one thing, and that Byakuren isn't standing around it anymore. Instead people seem to be mostly milling about; you aren't able to read the mood of the crowd at all from a distance.

> Head toward the Myouren temple.

>You fly past the crowd, and approach the northern part of town.
>Looking at the temple, you're rather proud of how it's turned out. You can still see the basic shape of the ship if you know where to look, but with a proper roof and good foundations, it's now a rather respectable-looking place. While you didn't actually do much work to build it, you did donate a lion's share of the money to fund it over the months of it's renovation. Really, they would have been lost without you.
>The front of the temple, with its simple wooden porch and open doors, is empty at the moment. This isn't surprising, this place is seldom busy, much to the occupants' chagrin sometimes. And given the current situation, you doubt many would be clambering for enlightenment. Further north, you see the edge of two give way to the rolling fields of the town, where much of the food topside originates from. Obvious exits are West, South, and East.

> Enter!
> Check for regular temple residents.

>You walk inside, and find yourself in a simple wooden corridor that serves as a brief kind of entry chamber. It is somewhat narrow, but not terribly so; the place does have its leading occupant in mind. It's a shame all the space for shoes to the side goes to waste. Glancing there, you can see Murasa and Byakuren's shoes. Up ahead is the main part of the temple; there's a good chance Byakuren would be there. The lower floor is devoted to public and religious uses. The upper floor are where you're likely to find anyone else, where the kitchen and sleeping rooms and such are. Up ahead, you can see a discreet hall branching from the main corridor that leads to a stairway leading up there. Obvious exits are East, West, and.South.

> Remove our own shoes and set them in the shoe space.
> Head to the main part of the temple.

>You head into the temple after setting your shoes and reach the spacious main part of the temple. Numerous cushions like the floor in rows, while a small shrine featuring an inch-high clay statue of the Buddha sits at the rear of the room. The ceiling is pretty high, reaching well into the second floor. The room is empty, save for Byakuren sitting on  pillow large enough to seat her. Much of the time she is here, she is meditating; but right now it seems like she is resting. If nothing else, her meditation tends not to involve leaning back against the wall.
>She opens her eyes as you come, and smiles a little. "Welcome, Nue," she says. "Thank you for your assistance earlier."
