Well, whatever we want to learn now, we could theoretically learn later at the club meeting. I suspect Patchy's memory of the swords would be better than Meiling's.

I think I'm prepared to leave (many of the problematic logistics of sneaking into the tengu village apply to the SDM as well), but if people want to stick around and try to find a way in to see those swords, I won't command us away from the place just yet.

It would be better to see if we learn enough from Patchy at the meeting, and sneak in if we don't then. I'm wondering if we might have to get in to see her at all, if Remilia decides her Patchy shouldn't leave in the emergency. Things to worry about later!

>You emulate heroes of old, then depart while Flan giggles.
>Taking to the air, you head toward the road, giving the lake a wide berth again. Following along it, you look for houses. It's a little difficult to see through the summer foliage, but you think you can catch a glimpse of something peeking through the trees near the northern edge of the forest.

>You draw closer to it, and see there is a fair amount of old furniture littering the yard around it. The house itself is it in need of a wash. Some of the from the roof don't match the rest, and a few of the wooden frames on the walls seem to be moldy and wearing thin. You are quite sure this is Kourindou, though you've never really visited it.

> Head to it and enter.

>You approach the store, and notice there is an wooden sign on the door pronouncing the place open. Walking inside, you notice the place looks much like a pawn shop in the Ancient  City, though a bit less cramped than most and a lot dustier. You note some cobwebs in the corners. Shelves on the walls contain several items, while a few racks on the floor hold a couple more. There is a counter along the far wall, with a door behind it. A few windows allow light to come in and brighten the store. Obvious exits are north and south.
>Sitting behind the counter is a tall, white-haired man with spectacles resting on his nose and accentuating his yellow eyes. He wears a robe of blue and black, with a leather bag in front. He smiles as you enter, and says, "Good afternoon, Miss...Houjuu?"

>Your inventory contains:
>Black dress
>A short number that draws attention low, and has a lovely bit of frills around the neck. It's made to accommodate your wings, and is is quite stretchy, very useful when you need to change shapes on the fly.
>Black Stockings
>They keep your legs warm and clean. They can stretch to accommodate some shape changes.
>Black Bracelet
>A simple accessory that plays off the asymmetry of your natural form.
>Red shoes
>A cute pair of shoes that stand out against your stockings.

>A common gem with a pinkish hue. Worth about 15-25☼.
>Black Pearl x2
>A rare and precious kind of pearl, easily worth 100-130☼.
>Red Spinel x2
>A lovely but low value gem that the uninitiated may mistake for a ruby. Worth 50-80☼.
>Green Glass Bead x15
>Cheaply made, but kind of pretty. Worth 1☼. at most, and you'd quickly expect a bulk discount.
>Loose Cobblestone
>This seems to have been taken from the streets of the Ancient City
>Brown Jasper
>An ornamental gem worth 30-40☼
>Freshwater Pearl
>A common, low value pearl worth 7-8☼
>Aventurine
>A greenish stone that worth 20-25☼.
>Banded Agate
>A layered stone you would value at 7-11☼
