Our school...has just been closed until Wednesday...

Because of Swine Flu

GOD. DAMN. IT.

Because of a sudden heavy snowfall canceling school for an entire week (coincidentally the week before Winter Break) last December, we've been trying to get our school back on schedule for months. Today was one such day, repeating an A day class schedule twice in a row. And even more ironic, our school-based health center opened on Friday. XD

So now we're even more behind...thanks to this stupid flu being SUSPECTED in the elementary school.

If you ask me, we should all just get swine flu and be done with it. Sure you'd feel terrible for a few days, but then once we all recover, we'll never get it again and can finally just move on with our lives.

How many of those cases actually resulted in deaths so far? 1, so far. As far as I know.

I still fail to see how swine flu is any more deadly than regular flu. Flu is a nasty thing, yes (pretty much the only thing that can make me miss school), but it's not the end of mankind.

One, yes.  An infant, from Mexico, who was in terrible condition anyway (he had preexisting health conditions; the flu apparently pushed his immune system over the edge and caused his body to shut down).

Indeed, massive amounts of people die to much more serious conditions around the world. Just think about brain inflammation. And the percent how much world gives shit about it.
